• THE GLENROY TRAGEDY MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER MELBOURNE, Nov. 18. George Grant (42), a chimney sweep, was charged with having murdered Miss Annie Wiseman (62) and her niece, Miss Phyllis Wiseman (17). at Glenroy during the week-end. The women were found strangled in their home. VISIT TO DOMINION RETURNED SOLDIERS* CONTINGENT PERTH, Nov. 18. At the Returned Soldiers' League's Federal Congress it was stated that although an A.I.F. contingent of between 3000 and 5000 had been invited to attend the New Zealand centenary celebrations in 1940, it was unlikely that shipping accommodation could be arranged for more than 2000.
