OFFICERS FOR COMING YEAR MR M. S. MYERS ELECTED PRESIDENT (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 4. The conference of the Associated Chambers of Commerce concluded today, though a round of entertainment for the delegates will be continued

over the week-end. Officers for 193839 were elected.. . Mr- M. S. Myers (Dunedin), vicepresident for the past year, was ap pointed to succeed Mr A. G. Lunn (Auckland) as president. ' Other officers elected were:—Temporary vice-president, Mr M. G. C. McCaul; New Zealand executive, apart from those to be appointed later by the district chambers—Captain S. Holm and Messrs A. J. Curtis, A. ft. Hislop, A. L. Wall (Wellington), A. J. Lunn (Auckland), E. Darroch (South Canterbury), C. B. Tapley (Invercargill). F. H. Bethwaite (Wanganui).and Gordon Fraser (Taranaki). It was decided to hold next year'? conference in Wellington. New Plymouth's claims to the 1940 conference were emphasised.
