FOREIGN POLICY
DOMINIONS KEPT INFORMED DEVELOPMENT OF SYSTEM LONDON, Nov. 1. In the House of Commons Mr Malcolm MacDonald said that in accordance with the Imperial Conference decisions the dominion Governments were constantly informed by telegraph of the Government's foreign policy and of the information at its disposal. As an illustration of the development of the system 398 circular telegrams dealing with foreign affairs were sent to the dominions in i 938. of which 150 were in September. He added that no action.had been taken without consultation with the dominions where consultations would be proper Mr Geoffrey Lloyd stated that the air raid orecautions personnel enrolled was now over 1,000,000 GERMANY'S PLACE IN EUROPE A DOMINANT POSITION LONDON, Nov. .1. Mr Chamberlain, in the House of Commons, said Germany geographically must occupy a dominant position in Central ..and south-eastern Europe. She did so now "We do not wish to block Germany from these countries" he said, "or encircle her economically We intend to maintain our own interests there."
