CROQUET
TEAMS FROM OVERSEAS TOUR OF DOMINION IN 1940 (Special to Daily Times) ; GORE, Nov. 2. Mr R. W. McCreath, of Gore, president of the New Zealand Croquet Council, who has Returned from a three months' visit to Australia, stated in an interview to-day that while in the Commonwealth .he made, arrangements for .croquet teams from Queensland, New. South Wales and Victoria, to visit the Dominion' during 'the centenary celebrations next year. The teams will arrive in New Zealand in December, 1939, and will commence their tours of the Dominion from different centres: The Queensland team will land at. Auckland, the New South Wales side at - Wellington, and the Victorian party at Bluff. The Victorian team will begin its tour at Invercargill. The itineraries, have not yet been, arariged. - Mi- McCreath added that advice had been received that a British team would visit the Dominion about the same time,..and :the. New Zealand Council was ' awaiting acceptance of an invitation for a South African party to make the tour.
