OVERCROWDED EUROPE

THE. POSITION IN HOLLAND PEOPLE LOOK TO AUSTRALIA SYDNEY, Oct. 20. A Dutchman, C. G. Cramer, of Amsterdam, who arrived by air, declared that the people of _ overcrowded Europe were looking to Australia for shelter. He was of the opinion that at least 20,000,000 could easily be carried. Holland, he said, had about 350,000 unemployed, many of whom could be absorbed in Australia and New Zealand as useful migrants. Dutch farmers faced problems such as closed frontiers and low prices, and quite a large percentage of citizens were looking in the direction of Australia and New Zealand.
