SPRING FLOWER SHOW Under the auspices of the Taumata Women’s Institute, a spring flower Show was held on October 8. Competition in the needlework and baking sections was good, but the display of spring flowers was disappointing Amusement was derived from a naildriving competition and quoit-throw-ing, and a pleasant evening was spent In social games and items. Mr J. McArthur opened the show. The following was the prize list:— Spring Flowers (judges: Mrs Morrison and Miss E. Smith.
