THE NATIONAL PRIZE
NEW GERMAN AWARDS RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED NUREMBERG, Sept. 6. Dr Goebbels announced the 1938 awards for the National Prize, instituted by Herr Hitler when he banned Germans from accepting Nobel Prizes. The first prize went tt Dr Fritz Todt, constructor of the new motor roads, the second to Dr Ferdinand Porsche, designer of the people’s car, and the third prize was shared between the aeroplane constructors Herr Schmidt and Professor Ernst Heinkel.
