RAID IN SAW-MILLING TOWNSHIP EIGHT MEN HEAVILY FINED (Per United Press Association) TAUMARUNUI, Sept. 2. As the outcome of the work of a constable for two months and a simultaneous raid by the police from all parts of the district on the small saw-milling township of Owhango. on the Mam Trunk line, eight residents were heavilv fined by Mr R. M. Watso.i. S.M.. for selling and keeping hqour for sale. Four others were fined for being found on the premises. The finer and costs amounted to £3lO.
