AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP MOSES AND HOLDSWORTH IN FINAL Two games in the semi-final of the New Zealand amateur billiards championship, were decided at the Returned Soldiers' Social Hall yesterday, and as a result the final will be contested between L. Holdsworth (Auckland) and the title-holder. S. Moses (Wellington). , , , Yesterday's matches were as follows: A. Bowie v. L. Holdsworth This game drew an excellent attendance, but the local man, who was suffering from a severe cold, was unable to reproduce his usual form, and-lost by a margin of 83 points. The Aucklander soon went into the lead and at his fifth visit scored a neat break of 30 His opponent could do nothing right, and at the forty-fifth visit was 183 points in arrears. Even play followed and Holdsworth led 555-403, but Bowie staged a great recovery and scored 165 points against five, reducing the deficit to 25.
