ADDITIONS TO NEW ZEALAND'S AIR DEFENCE The two Air-speed Oxford aeroplanes, the first twin-engined machines bought by the New Zealand Government, were put through test flights successfully at the Hobsonville air base on Thursday. They are the first arrivals of five identical machines, all of which are to be stationed at Wigram training school of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.
GERMAN DIVING STAR UNDER WATER A striking under-water study of Suzanne Heinze, a German diver, finishing her plunge in the European swimming championships at the Empire Pool, Wembley. The pictures were taken through a glass window in the side of the pool.
