VOICE STARTS ROMANCE . WEDDING OF BLIND COUPLE Sitting in the recreation room of the Grove Lane Hospital for the Blind at Camberwell, London, one day, one of the men patients looked up as the sound of a beautiful voice floated across. He asked: "Who is that? "That is Miss Alice Jenkins," replied a nurse. . ■ " I'd love to meet her, said the patient. He did. So the patient, MiFrank Tucker, sightless 31-year-old salesman, has just married Miss Alice Jenkins, the girl with the beautiful voice. The ceremony took place at St. Chrysostom's Church, Peckham. It was 12 years ago that Miss Jenkins, then 18. lost her sight following an attack of influenza. With the help of her friend. Miss Ruth Biggs, the bride had been busy before the wedding preparing her rooms in a boarding house kept by Mrs Carter in Peckham. "I think I'm as happy as they are themselves," Mrs Carter stated. "It's amazing how capable Miss Jenkins is. She does most of her own cooking, and her rooms are spotlessly clean always. "And Mr Tucker, too; he's been as haDDy as a sandboy these last few weeks, walking about humming to himself. He works in a kiosk in a big office building in Victoria, and every day finds his own way to work and "Yes. I'm sure they're going to be an ideal married couple."
