FIRE BRIGADE BALL

The Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Brigade's eighth annual ball was held on Wednesday last at the Central Fire Station and was marked with its usual success, approximately 115 couples dancing to the music supplied by Mr A. Stewart's Imperial Dance Band. The social hall was effectively decorated by the members of the brigade, the lighting effects being especially attractive. The grand march was led by Superintendent and Mrs R. H. Price, the iatter wearing a gown of black and silver. The guests of the evening were Third Officer and Mrs Laidlaw (Marina blue frock, floral satin coatee) and the Inspector of Police (Mr Roach) and Mrs Roach (black satin and gold lame) Others present included Mesdames J.
