NEW ATLANTIC LINER

THE QUEEN ELIZABETH PLANS FOR LAUNCHING (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Sept. 1. (Received Sept. 2. at 5.5 p.m.) Arrangements are practically complete for the launching on the Clyde, on September 27 by the Queen, of the sister ship to the Queen Mary, which her Majesty will christen the Queen Elizabeth. The details of the launching of this immense vessel have necessitated most careful planning, but complete confidence is expressed in the arrangements made, for which important data have been made available as the result of a study of a film of the launching of the sister ship, and of experiments conducted in a tank with a model weighing about a ton.
