NAPIER HARBOUR

DISPUTE WITH SHIPPING COMPANY LOSS OF TRADE FEARED (Per United Press Association) HASTINGS. Sept. 1. Principal interest in the dispute between the Napier Harbour Board and the Richardson Shipping Company centred to-day on the visit to Port Ahuriri of the Secretary f Marine (Mr L. B. Mr Campbell inspected the bar to the inner harbour, which is the cause of the dispute, and also conferred with the managers of the branches of overseas shipping companies. The result of his findings will not be known until the whole matter has been reviewed by the department and a report received. The residents of the port are somewhat apprehensive at the possible loss of trade by the use of the railway/ to Wellington.
