SELF-INFLICTED WOUND

PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE’S DEATH (Per United Press Association) NAPIER, September 1. That the deceased had died as the result of a bullet wound in the right temple, self-inflicted, was the verdict of the coroner at the inquest on William Holland, aged 58, a Public Works employee at Glengarrie camp. Holland was found on August 22 lying across a bed, a gun pointed at the body.
