RECRUITING IN BRITAIN
A STEADY INCREASE (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Aug. 31. (Received Sept. 1, at 5.5 p.m.) Recruiting for the regular army is steadily approaching 1000 a week. The intake last week was 917, an increase of 291 compared with the corresponding week of 1937.
