“SOCCER” TOURISTS

NEW ZEALAND SCHOOLBOYS ANOTHER EASY WIN MELBOURNE, Sept. 1. (Received Sept. 1, at 10.45 p.m.) The New Zealand schoolboys were too clever for Melbourne schools at “ soccer ” here to-day, winning by six goals to nil. Features were the defence of Taylor, the anticipation of Yeoman, and the unselfishness of the team. The visitors scored after five minutes, Yeoman heading a perfectly placed free kick. Taylor scored from another free kick. Later Yeoman, who was a tower of strength in the front line, added three goals and was instrumental in getting the ball to Clarke, who scored the sixth goal. Prominent for New Zealand were Taylor, Shannahan, Yeoman, McLachlan, and Singer.
