CANADIAN WHEAT
MARKET IN BRITAIN DEMAND BY GROWERS VANCOUVER, Aug. 31. (Received Sept. 1, at 11.15 p.m.) Forecasts from London that the United States will be granted lower wheat rates and free entry of fresh and dried fruits have caused dismay to Canadian fruit growers. Applegrowers in the Okanagan district of British Columbia predict a loss of 000,000 dollars annually. Wheatgrowers have already recorded their demand for retention of preference.
