LAND SPEED RECORD
MR COBB'S ATTEMPTS BONNEVILE SALT FLATS, Aug. 30. It is estimated that Mr Cobb reached a speed of 300 miles an hour in the first run in an attempt to break the world's land-speed record. ~, . . In his second attempt he did about 325 miles an hour. Conditions were unfavourable for a speed record.
