In presenting the report, the chairman paid a special tribute to the womenfolk of the club who so willingly gave their assistance last season. The election, of officers resulted as follows: —Patrons, Mr W. A. Bodkin, M.P., and Mr T. Lowis; president, Mr C. Donald; vice-presi-dents. Messrs M. Beatfie and Mi H. Hanrahan; secretary, Mr R. Rugby Football Considerable interest is being taken in the White Horse Cup challenge match which will be played at Ranfurly on Saturday between Ranfurly (the holders) and Matakanui. The fact that Matakanui were this year the winners of "the Vincent County Competition and that Ranfurly, up to this stage, is in the lead for the Maniototo Competition, should attract a good attendance. It is hoped also that Gillies, the Otago player, will be available, as followers of the sport locally are keen to see him in action. The report that the local player, Kearney, had missed so many kicks at goal in the match at Gore last Saturday was received with a good deal of surprise as he is generally thought to be a good kicker. It has, however, been since ascertained that he was not the kicker. ' A Senior Grade seven-a-side team from Ranfurly, represented by J. Mulholland, C. Forrester, J. Hanrahan, J. Torrance, F. Garty, H. Agnew and H. Burnside, took part in the Vincent tournaments on Saturday, Which they Were successful in winning. In all the team won four games, defeating Alexandra A, Matakanui A, Becks B and Ida Valley Ain the final. This is only the second occasion since 1920 that Ranfurly has won this tournament, the last occasion being in the 1924 season.
