A youthful competitor in the finals of the Wanganui Wrestling Association's amateur championships at the Opera House last Saturday night provided the crowd with much amusement with his display of showmanship. When he was introduced to the spectators, the young grappler raised a laugh with his bow and then retired to his corner, where he performed acrobatics off the ropes. During the bout he displayed more feats of showmanship, but the crowning act was when he almost tied himself up in the ropes when retiring to the dressing room. Picking himsell up from the floor, he shook hands with his second before leaving the stage.
