YESTERDAY'S PROCEEDINGS LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL (Peb United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 31. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Auckland Electric Power Board Amendment Bill, the Geraldine County River District Amendment Bill, the Otago Harbour Board Empowering Bill, the Timaru Borough Empowering Bill and the Ohai Railway Board Amendment Bill were each read a first time and referred to the Local Bills Committee.

The Imprest Supply Bill, No. 2, and the Arbitration Amendment Bill were passed.
