Plans have been evolved by Union Airways, Ltd., for the institution of a Gisborne-Auckland link by way of Opotiki and Tauranga within the next few months. The prosecution of the plan is dependent upon the availability of planes and personnel, but it is hoped that the link will be operating by the end of this summer. Union Airways, Ltd., has applied for a licence to operate on a continuous basis on the new Gisborne-Auckland route. Representations in regard to the application are invited for the consideration of the Minister not later than September 6.
