HANSEN v. FRALEY After protracted negotiations with the New Zealand Wrestling Union, the Otago Wrestling Association has succeeded in obtaining the first meeting between Billy Hansen and’ Pat Fraley. ..Fraley who. is a favourite with Dunedin audiences, ycill ,-b'e long, remembered for his sensational bout. with Raines two weeks ago. Billy Hansen,, one of the most popular men ever to wrestle in California, met with considerable success on'-the Pacific Coast. .He ‘-Js.-.a quick thinker, has an exceptional array, of holds' and can keep ■up the pace in any company. Like .most of the younger .brigade he favdurs the flying Rickie and drop-kicks, at which he is an expert. Hansen' has just arrived aftgr a successful season in Australia, and so far has had only two matches’in New Zealand. In his first contest he drew with Lofty Blomfield and in the second defeated Pa< Meehan with two out of three falls Hansen’s overseas record includes wins over Dr Fred Meyer, Wee Willie Davis, Reb. Russell. the Duseks, Jake Patterson and Abe Kashey. and he has drawn with Sammy Stein,- This is Hansen’s record for the period immediately preceding his departure for Australia. and in addition to. the wins listed above he holds decisions over wrestlers not so well known in New Zealand. Fraley-has demonstrated that he is capable of the action required from a wrestler, and with a man of Hansen’s calibre against him the match should provide all the thrills the public demands.
