THE BURMA RIOTS
OFFICIAL CASUALTY ROLL GOVERNMENT SURVIVES CENSURE MOTION RANGOON, Aug. 26. It is officially stated that 149 people were killed and 537 injured in the recent communal riots in Burma. The Government is ap : pointing a committee of inquiry. By a majority of five the Government survived an Opposition censure motion for its failure to avert the riots.
