PARACHUTE OPENER
SUCCESS OF AUTOMATIC DEVICE v . MOSCOW, Aug. 28. (Received Aug. 28, at 10 p.m.) Two hundred experimental jumps have proved the success of an automatic parachute opener, which was invented by two Soviet engineers. The mechanism resembles an alarm clock, which opens the parachute envelope between five and l-so seconds as desired.
