BIRD-LOVER'S DEATH

Miss Frances Ellen Mason, aged 73, of Kensington, West London, who fell 40 feet to death from a bedroom window at her home, was believed to have been throwing crumbs to birds. This theory was advanced at the Hammersmith inquest. Her sister, Miss Adelaide Mason, said. "She loved animals, and particularly birds. She always fed the birds." Recording an open verdict, the coroner, Mr Neville Stafford, said that there was insufficient evidence to show the circumstances of the fall.
