WORKERS*, INDUSTRIAU DISPUTE NO AGREEMENT REACHED <Per United Pbess Association* WELLINGTON, Aug. 2. No agreement was reached ort the major claims and counter-claims in the private hotel workers' industrial dispute after the second day's hearing in the Conciliation Council today. The dispute centred almost entirely on wages and hours. Numerous amendments were made to the claims by the union and the offers by the employers in the hope of reaching a settlement. „ The employers' final offer was increases all round of 5s for males and 2s 6d for females, conditional on the 44-hour week being retained. The union asked for further time to consider this;offer, and the dispute was adjourned to August 25.
