THE FINANCIAL DEBATE OPENED BY THE LEADERS i From Our Parliamentary Reporter » WELLINGTON, July 21. The financial deba.e, which should occupy members fully for at least a fortnight, v/as opened in the House of Representatives to-night. The attack on the Government was launched by the Leader of the Opposition (Mr A. Hamilton), and when he had finished he gave way to the Prime Minister (Mr Savage), who emphasised the prosperity of the Dominion. The afternoon was spent in a discussion on the annual report of tne Pensions Department. . The House rose at 10.7 p.m. until this morning, when the financial debate will be continued.
