RARANGA TO COMPLETE The Shaw Savill steamer Raranga sailed early yesterday morning for Tlmaru, Lyttelton and Wellington to complete Homeward loading. ZEALANDIC COMING Dalgcty and Co. ndylse that the Shaw Savill vessel Zalandlc, from London, via Suva and Lyttelton, Is due here on Thursday to discharge general cargo. She is to sail later for Bluff, Tlmaru and Nelson to complete. ROTORUA REPORTS ALL WELL The Rotorua, which left Wellington on June 16 for London, via Panama, has reported that good weather Is being encountered and all on board are well. KARETU WITH COAL With coal from Newcastle, the Union Company’s Intercolonial trader Karetu arrived here yesterday and berthed at the Birch street wharf to continue discharge. She Is to salt to-morrow for Oamaru and Bluff to complete, and is then to sail for Newcastle and Sydney. WAIKOUAITI TO SAIL The Waikouaitl Is to sail to-day for Tlmaru and Lyttelton to complete discharge of her Australian cargo. THE PORT HARDY With cargo from Liverpool, the Port Line itcamer Port Hardy Is due hero to-rnorrow, and Is to berth at Port Chalmers to continue discharge. She 1s to sail later In the week for Tlmaru to complete. OLIVEBANK COMPLETING The Bank Line motor ship Olivebank moved from Ravonsbourne to a berth at the Victoria wharf on Saturday to complete discharge of her phosphate cargo. She Is to sail to-morrow for Nauru Island. HERTFORD ARRIVES HOME Cabled advice has been received by the Federal Company that the Hertford reached Southampton last Tuesday. She left Wanganui on May 20 for Southampton, Dunkirk, London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via the Panama canal. TAINUI CLEARS BALBOA The Shaw Savill Company has received cabled advice that its liner Talnul, eu route from London and Southampton to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, cleared Balboa last Tuesday. She is due at Wellington on July 21 to land passengers only.

PORT DENISON AT LONDON Cabled advice has been received by the Port Line that the Port Denison reached London last Wednesday. Site left Lyttelton on May 17 for London, Avonmouth Liverpool and Glasgow, via the Panama canal. TREHATA REPORTS A wireless message has been received from the A. and A. Line chartered steamer Trehata, en route for New York and Newport News, reporting that she expected to reach Auckland yesterday afternoon. She will later complete discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, and Is due here about July 14. GERMAN SERVICE FROM TRIESTE The announcement that the Schuldt Orient Line, of Hamburg, arc about to establish a liner service between Trieste and the Levant has a significant bearing on the future of the Adriatic port, states the Syren and Shipping. The Schuldt Orient Line have at present a liner service between Hamburg, Bremen, Antwerp and the Levant, and the decision to make the company the first German line trading from Trieste suggests that by the union of Austria with Germany German shippers and forwarding agents will In future enter Into almost direct connection with the Mediterranean. It Is expressly stated, however, that the line will not compete with the trade of North German ports, so that the new enterprise would appear to be Intended to compete with the overland and Inland waterway systems of Eastern Europe.
