EDUCATION RESEARCH

TO THE EDITOR Sir,—ln your issue of June 30 there appeared a letter under the above title. The ncm de plume used by me in the original copy was Sidney Tach6. Through an inadvertence, for which I am in no way responsible, the nom de S’ e appearing at the foot of the was Sidney Fache. I desire it to be known tViat Mr Sidney Fache. of Dunedin, did not write the abovementioned letter, and was in no way connected with the writing of it.—l am, etc., Sidney Tache. [Our apologies are due to Mr Fache for the mis-reading of the signature to the letter referred to above. Mr Sidney Fache is well known throughout Otago, and his indignation at the apparently unauthorised use of his name is natural and intelligible. In view of this occurrence, and of other Incidents of a somewhat similar nature, we are forced to the conclusion that we must reject any letter to which is attached a surname other than that of the actual writer.—Ed. C .D.T.]
