Pressure has risen somewhat over Eastern Australia. Indications are for;— Winds.—West to south-west over the North Island and south-west to southerly over the South, moderate to strong generally, and reaching gale force in manyjplaces. Seas.—New Zealand waters: Moderate in coastal waters, but otherwise rather rough to rough on the east coast, and rough to high on the west. Eastern Tasman Sea: South-west to southerly gales, with high seas. Weather. Changeable, with heavy showers at limes in most districts, more especially in the South Island and in western districts of the North; some snow on the ranges, and hail in places; temperatures colder. WEATHER IN DUNEDIN The weather was fine on Saturday, but the sky was dull all day, and temperatures were cool. There was a slight north-easterly breeze. The maximum temperature was 49 degrees, and the barometer fell to 29.15 inches. Yesterday morning was fine but dull, and in the afternoon a drizzling rain set in. There was a slight breeze from the north-east. The maximum temperature was 44 degrees. The barometer continued to fall, reaching 29.12 inches, but then commenced to rise gradually, the reading at midnight being 29.23 inches.
