DEATH FROM INJURIES
MRS E. J. RIDDIFORD VERDICT AT INQUEST (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 17. An inquest into the death of Mrs Eleanor Caroline Riddiford, aged 74, widow of Mr Edward Joshua Riddiford. was held to-day at Lower Hutt. The district coroner (Mr E. Gilbertson) returned a verdict that Mrs Riddiford died at her residence. 74 Woburn road, Lower Hutt, from injuries received through being knocked down in Woburn road by a motor van driven by Robert Richmond Southorn, a butcher, of White’s Line, East Moera, and dressing at 5 Alice street. Lower Hutt. Dr W. J. Hutchinson said that Mrs Riddiford received a fractured skull, and died without regaining consciousness.
