WIRELESS STATION
CONSTRUCTION AT CANBERRA FOR NAVAL PURPOSES CANBERRA, June 16. (Received June 16, at 11.55 p.m.) “ By next March the most powerful naval wireless station in the Empire will be in partial operation at Canberra,” says the Sydney Sun correspondent. “ The station will provide day and night communication with warships in Australian and adjacent waters. Another station at Darwin will function in conjunction with that at Canberra.”
