BALCLUTHA Transport Licensing ; A sitting of the No. . 4 Transport' Licensing Authority (Mt V. Raines ’. presiding) was held in the Balcluthaf , Courthouse yesterday. Decision was reserved in the ing applications for new licences for/ passenger services:—J. D. Lockett,.:,' (Maclennan), I. L. Bishop (Kaita-j-'j ngala), Minister of Railways, J. G.l Murphy (Milton), A. Reid ngata), R. Stevenson (Milton). A transfer was granted from James Tweedie (Kaitangata) to I. L. Bishop for the passenger bus service between Kaitangata and Balclutha. New goods service licences were? granted to A. Fulton (Waitahuna), J. Parker (Papatowai), D. R. Wright, (Houipapa). , ; -,i Renewal of Public Works good ser- ,r. vice licences were granted to J. H.. j, Stevenson (Balclutha), S. Lloyd (KaK tangata), and R. J.. Creed (Balclutha), ; r The applications of C. V. Thomson and Co (Waipahi) and J» P. A. Whalan (Taieri Mouth) for revocation of licences were granted. An application , to transfer licence from E. M. Ander-,)’-son to R. B. Findlater (PapatoWai) wa* adjourned sine die. Mr A.
