TRIALS IN JAPAN
COMMUNIST SUSPECTS SEQUEL TO ARRESTS IN 1936 TOKIO, May 30. (Received May 30/at 11.30 p.m.) It is officially disclosed that 235 persons suspected of Communistic activities throughout Japan are at present being tried. The trials follow the arrests of 400 persons in May, 1936. and 110 others in the following months. The accused include Buddhist priests, students, and members of the Labour and Communist parties. The trials are being held in camera.
