PIECES OF GOLD
A detective story of real life is taking place in Tasmania. It is better than ordinary detective stones for there is no crime in it. A housewife of Georgetown bought a fowl. When it was being prepared for the table more than twenty small pieces of gold were found in its gizSome of the pieces were flat and worn by water; and in this was a clue, for it suggested that the chicken had probably been feeding by water, and a great search is being make to discover where the chicken came from. We hope the last chapter of the story will end, as it should end, with a discovery of big nuggets of gold
