Y.W.C.A. CONVENTION

VISITORS ENTERTAINED The visiting delegates to the Dominion Convention of the Y.W.C.A. were entertained at various functions over the week-end. On Saturday night there was an outstanding gymnastic display by 200 girls of the local association. and this entertainment was greatly enjoyed by the delegates. On Sunday afternoon the delegates were taken for a drive round the hills. A bus had been put at their disposal by the City Council, and this and several private cars took the visitors for an enjoyable drive in the brilliant sunshine. Afternoon tea was partaken of at the Brown House before the party returned to Dunedin.

In the evening delegates attended the service at First Church, and later were the guests of the Rev. W. Allen Stevely and Mrs Stevely at supper. A business meeting and an address by Miss Watson constituted yesterday’s activities, and the convention will conclude to-day.
