FORTUNATE ABSENCE

TWO YORKSHIRE GIRLS AIRCRAFT WRECKS ROOM LONDON, May 18. Two Yorkshire farm girls, the Misses Stonehouse, believe they are alive to-day because they sat up last night watching ducklings hatch out. Shortly after midnight a Royal Air Force aeroplane crashed on the farmhouse. It wrecked the girls’ bedroom and the bed. Mrs Stonehouse said that but for the ducklings the girls would have been asleep mere.
