EGYPT GENERAL MISSION
VISIT OF MR A. L. SKEELS Mr Arthur L. Skeels is engaged at present on a tour of Otago and Southland in the interests of the Egypt General Mission, of which he and Mrs Skeels are members. Mr Skeels, who is a native of Dunedin, left New Zealand in 1933 for Egypt, and this is his first furlough home, after nearly five vears in that country. Into this Moslem field the Egypt General Mission came in 1898, and throughout the years it has maintained a Christian witness in the countless towns and villages of the thickly-populated Nile delta. The European staff now numbers upwards of 60 members Mr Skeels will be in Dunedin during the week-end, before leaving for the north, and will give a lantern lecture at the Y.M.C.A. Hall on Monday evening. He has an interesting collection of coloured slides dealing with scenic attractions of the country and the work of the mission. Views of the recent wedding of the King of Egypt are also included.
