THEFT OF YACHT

BOYS START ON OCEAN CRUISE ACROSS PACIFIC TO CHINA SANTA CRUZ (California), May 26. (Received May 27, at 5.5 p.m.) Three boys, aged 16 to 17, high school students, stole a 52ft yacht, with sail and auxiliary engine, belonging to a local business man. They stocked up with food supplies and began a cruise of the Pacific, which is designed to take them to Hongkong, via Honolulu. A coastguard cutter, which set off in pursuit of the yacht, signalled a request for an aeroplane to assist, and a fast airship, under the command of a naval lieutenant, joined in the search. The owner _of the yacht is concerned only with the safety of the boys.
