Unsettled weather with a fresh wind from the south-south-west was experienced during the day. The maximum temperature was 63 degrees. The barometric pressure had a falling tendency, and the reading at 5 p.m. was 30.06 inches. WELLINGTON, May 26. The weather to-day was cloudy, but fine. The morning was cool, but before mid-day it became very mild. There was a light to moderate northwesterly wind. The minimum temperature last night was 46.0 degrees, and the maximum to-day 62.0 degrees. At 3.30 p.m. the barometer reading was 29.81 ihches. CHRISTCHURCH, May 26. The weather was fine, but cloudy, to-day, with a light south-west breeze. The maximum temperature was 63.2 degrees. At 5 p.m. the barometer registered 29.75 inches, and was rising.
