KOZAN MARU

WITHDRAWN FROM DOMINION TRADE URGENT NEED AT HOME (Pes United Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 18. Advice received in Auckland from Messrs Yamashita and Co. (London), Ltd., states that the head office at Kobe of the Yamashita Kisen Kaisha service has withdrawn the motor ship Kozan Maru fr»m the Japan—New Zealand trade. The K,ozan Maru will be replaced by the stezmer Shanghai Maru, which will maintain the companys' service -with the steamer Naniwa Maru. Although no intimation has been given, it is considered possible that the Kozan Maru, which is a comparatively new ship capable of about 15 knots, has been absorbed by Japan's urgent need for ships to feed her communicatrn- in China.
