Granger, formerly of Dunedin. ROONEY.—On May 14, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs A. Douglas, Waikeria, Christina Rooney, relict of the late Thomas Rooney, and beloved mother of Mrs A. Douglas and Mr M. J. Rooney, Waikeria; aged 86 years. Loved by all; sadly missed.—lnterred at Kihi Kihi on the 16th. SIMM.—On May 17, 1938, at Balclutha, James, dearly beloved husband of Mary Simm, Salcombe street, Kaitangata; In his sixty-eighth year. "At rest."—The Funeral will leave his late residence, Salcombe street, Kaitangata, on Friday, 20th inst., at 2 p.m., for the Methodist Church, via Salcombe and Exmouth streets, and thence to the Northern Cemetery, Kaitangata.—D. Mlddlemass, funeral director. WHITAKER.—On May 18, 1938, at Dunedin (suddenly), Victor Charles, loved only son of Charles and Ruby Whitaker, of Dunedin; aged 21 years.
