HOUSING SCHEME
FURTHER CONTRACTS LET A WIDE DISTRIBUTION (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 14. The Parliamentary Under-Secre-tary for Housing (Mr J. A. Lee) announced to-day that further housing contracts had been approved by the Cabinet as follows; Six houses at Point Chevalier and 10 single-house and two two-house units at Westmere, Auckland. Four concrete units at Kaiapoi Seven houses at Paeroa. Eight single-house units and one two-house unit at Thames. Thirteen single-house and one two-house units at Palmerston North.
Eleven single-house and one twohouse units at Pahiatua.
A special two-house unit at Johnsonville; 49 at Khandallah; seven single and four two-house units at Strathmore Park, Wellington; seven single and one two-house units at the same place.
Six houses and four houses at Lyttelton. Cabinet has also approved of the purchase of land at Devonport for three houses, at Lower Hutt for 29, at Opunake for six, at Riccarton for 13, and at Wakari, Dunedin, for two.
