LABOUR RULE
10 nut lilt ITOB Sir, —I knew that I was writing about the general election, not the local one. "Another Mere Woman ” asks me to stop and think whether I am really any better off. Well, I have not saved any more, but I certainly have purchased more, and a good many people have to admit they have done that. My children now have pyjamas to sleep in. While the last Government was in office they had to sleep in any old dress, jersev, etc. As regards working from daylight till dark, why nearly every mother has to do that, whether she is on a farm or not, and as to spending her evenings in mending shoes, boots, horse covers, etc., why there are many cobblers and saddlers on the countrvside who would be too pleased to do those jobs for a few shillings and allow “Another Mere Woman ” to have her evenings free. My motto is. “Live and let live.”—l •m, etc.. A Mere Woman. Seacliff. May 11.
