PICTURE FOR DOMINION GALLERY (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 13. The purchase of one of the pictures included in the recent, exhibition of contemporary Canadian art has been made by the council of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts. This is an oil painting entitled “ Winter in Quebec,” by Alexander Young Jackson. At the completion of the tour of the Canadian collection through New Zealand this oil painting will be hung in the National Art Gallery and will be much valued as the only example of Canadian art possessed by the gallery.
