GENERAL ELECTION

THE 'WAITEMATA SEAT NATIONAL PARTY CANDIDATE (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 12. In response to a request from a large deputation which waited upon him to-day, the Mayor of Takapuna (Mr J. Guiniven) has consented to offer himself as a candidate for the Waitemata seat at the forthcoming general election. He told the deputation that he would support the National Party in its fight against Socialism.
