HEALTH ADMINISTRATION

BILL BEFORE THE HOUSE REFERRED TO A COMMITTEE iFrom Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, Mar. 4. The Health Amendment Bill, which was introduced in the earlier part of the session and contains a number of miscellaneous clauses dealing with health administration, was to-day read a second time pro forma and referred to the Health Committee of the House of Representatives.

In reply to a question by the Leader of the Opposition (Mr A. Hamilton) the Minister of Health (Mr P. Fraser) said he expected that the Bill would be gone ahead with this session. It contained only one clause that was at all debatable, but if there were any doubts about it he was quite prepared to allow it to stand over until next session. It was a technical measure and the Health Committee could deal with it better than the House.
