STEAMER WRECKED ON COAST OF CORNWALL The steamer Alba being pounded by heavy seas after striking the rocks on the Cornish coast at St. Ives. The St. Ives lifeboat rescued the crew but capsized when struck by the full force of the gale, several members of the steamer’s crew being drowned.
